The Royal Institution and Imperial College London’s Grantham Institute partnered to create a new climate change innovation centre. Originally titled the ‘Centre for Climate Change Innovation,’ the team rebranded as Undaunted—a name that reflects the centre’s fearless mission to tackle the climate crisis with originality and resolve.

With a saturated field of environmental initiatives, the visual branding was carefully crafted to stand out while remaining universally compelling and credible.

Undaunted’s identity centres on a dynamic symbol that begins as a simple earth icon and transforms into a leaf, representing ‘green ideas for the globe’—a familiar yet fresh visual. Paired with one weight of Optimo foundry's Piek typeface, a distinctive collage style was developed to showcase the ambitious, evolving climate solutions they have in motion.
